Just heart breaking : Legendary Chef Leah Chase – a gift to the world – the New Orleans Creole Queen – passed away today, June 1st 2019 at the age of 96. Not only was she known for her incredible food, kindness and wise words; but her long-standing iconic Dooky Chase restaurant with her late husband Edgar Chase also played an instrumental role in the fight for social justice during the Civil Rights era. So thankful I got to know her and I treasure the time spent with her recently. R.I.P Miss Leah – thanks for all your service – there will never be another like you again.
